This is a reply to James Tomasino's gopher post "moving domains"
[1]. He asks what to do with our services with all the trouble
around the USA.

Fortunately most of my services are already not located in the US
and I'm mostly using European or German services:

<== EU based services ==>

- Git service: codeberg.org located in Germany
- DynDNS: nsupdate.info located in Germany
- Domains: OVH located in France I think
- VPS: Netcup GmbH located in Germany
- Mastodon/ActivityPub: pleroma.envs.net located in Germany
- Online Backup: Hetzner Online GmbH located in Germany
- Search: startpage.com - Surfboard Holding located in Netherlands
- ISP: Telekom Deutschland GmbH located in Germany (surely!)
- Mobile: 1&1 GmbH located in Germany

<== Questionable ==>

But because it's so convenient I can't let go Amazon. But their
services seem to be all located all over Europe. But I'm sure
they're tightly knit to the US Amazon services :(

I also use Steam which is located legally in the Washington State
in the US. This is a real effing thing! Same goes with GOG.com. I
*belive* they're also US based.

I'm not sure what to do with these services. I can't simply close
my accounts on GOG.com and Steam, because I would loose all my
already purchased games I believe. This is really a problem.

My approach to the Amazon thing is to buy at local online shops,
which I often do, but the only payment system I use is IBAN/SWIFT
transactions directly from my bank account or cash. And recently I
use the "Klarna" transaction service, based in Sweden. They're
often offered as payment method in many EU based online shops.

So that's it.

All in all - Have fun!
