Send me a Gemini Mention

This Gemini Capsule allows receiving Gemini Mentions. They are similar to Webmentions but for the Gemini protocol.

What are Gemini Mentions?

With Gemini Mentions you can send an URL to a Gemini page which contains a valid link to any Gemini page on this Capsule. It's nearly the same concept as with Webmentions but you only have to submit one link to your page. But it MUST contain a link back to this Gemini site.

This is an easy way to inform the owner of a capsule about posts mentioning pages on their capsule. No need to send an Email or get in contact by other means.

How do Gemini Mentions work?

You just need to follow the link above and you'll be prompted for the URL. The script then parses the input and checks if the links in the submitted page are valid. If they are, then the script sends an email to the owner of the receiving capsule with the URL of the submitted page and the validated links in it.

What then?

I'll add the links to the corresponding pages as backlinks to the Gemini page on my capsule. I will do this manually, so please don't expect the mentions to appear on the page immediately. However, you can do whatever you want with them. For example, you could collect them all on a dedicated Mentions page, or something similar. You don't even need to publish them.
